Last Month saw the 19th Schweissen & Schneiden trade fair taking place in Dusseldorf, Germany.
As those in the industry will be aware, this is the world’s leading trade fair for joining, cutting and surfacing and this year was home to over 1,000 exhibitors from over 41 countries. As a company that have been involved in pipe fitting and pipe fabrication for many years, the team from Condell Engineering visited the show with great interest and were not disappointed.
Shows such as these are the place where we get to meet our industry peers and find out what is happening. Indeed, we did meet many familiar faces and it was great to be able to catch up on all the news. We also were introduced to some new entrants into the industry and are quite excited about some opportunities that may arise.
Condell’s pipe fabrication tools bring beneficial innovations to pipe fitting operatives in all industrial sectors, including oil, gas, water, and pharmaceuticals. So it was a great opportunity to speak to many in the business under the one roof.
Fairs such as these are where business is being generated. We met with international contacts that were only possible because all parties were at this important show. We have been presented with a few exciting opportunities and are looking forward to exploring them further.
At the show you could see how pipe cutting, prepping and welding has advanced so much in recent years.
Success of Past Projects
Some time ago we developed a pipe fabrication tool which is now manufactured under licence by an American company. It was reassuring to see the PFAST product on display at the show on the Sumner stand and hear about how successful our design has been and continues to be in the US market.
As an Irish company with many innovations created and more designs in development stage it is important to us to have global partners so we can expand. We met with some European and International distributors and manufacturers, so we look forward to building on those contacts and hopefully doing business in the near future.
Very little has happened in the pipe fitting area in recent years. Everybody is looking for increased accuracy, safety and efficiency so we have been working on a new innovation in the sector. Condell Engineering Solutions have introduced the PAT or Pipe Alignment Trolley improving safety, accuracy and efficiency in pipe fabrication for alignment of fittings 8” to 16” in diameter.
While we did not display it at the German show we did manage to gather interest and our market research within the industry tells us that we should continue. We believe it will be product of choice for any pipe fabrication shop, either big or small. It will certainly reduce reworks and make processes more efficient.
As we left the show we noticed the posters for the next Schweissen & Schneiden fair. It was wonderful to attend such a successful show and we hope to be at the next one also.
Our next show will be Fabtech during November in Chicago, where we plan to be unveiling our newest innovation PAT2 to accommodate pipes and fittings from 8” – 20” on the Sumner stand B32061. If you plan to be at the show, please let us know so we can arrange a meeting. email@example.com
